Summary: Wish: Interactive chromatic aberration correction in digiKam image editor Product: digikam Version: unspecified Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: (using KDE 4.3.3) OS: Linux Installed from: openSUSE RPMs digiKam now uses liblensfun to implement chromatic aberration correction (although not all Linux distros have digiKam compiled with it). But sometimes, especially for less knowledgeable users (like me :-)), it may be difficult to find the suitable correction coefficients for a given lens, not to mention that this must be done with each new lens (one which is not included in the lens database), at several focal lengths, to allow lensfun to interpolate between them. On the other hand, making the correction directly with the Raw Import Tool is a bit tricky and slow, as the raw file must be demosaiced each time the red and/or blue aberration parameters are changed. It seems to me that for many users it would be very useful and easier to use the implementation of interactive chromatic aberration correction in the Image Editor, much in the same way many other raw processing software do (including those that come with many camera brands). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
