[Bug 196678] New: Made the old style world map (like in 0.9.x) available when marble is not available

Salvatore Brigaglia
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=196678

Summary: Made the old style world map (like in 0.9.x) available
                    when marble is not available
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: SuSE RPMs
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: [hidden email]
        ReportedBy: [hidden email]

Version:            (using KDE 4.2.90)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    SuSE RPMs

When marle is not installed or available as a library (or when it's crashing
digikam!) why not make an "old style" world map like the one in 0.9 series or
the one used by kworldmap?

But maybe someone does not want to install it (marble + data is ~27M) or does
not have it installed at the moment he wants to show his photoes to someone
(and sadly doesn't have a cnnection to install it at the moment...)
