I have ext4 ubuntu jaunty 64 bit clean installation with intel dual core quad
and 8Gbit.
I can save NEF (from nikon d90) to tiff but not to other formats. Editor works
fine.

Sorry. In the title is an error. The saving from TIFF to jpeg or png crashes
the system always.

A Fatal Error Occurred
The application digiKam (digikam) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV).
This backtrace appears to be of no use.

If I do something to the image before using save as (add contrast etc) then I
can use "save as" one.

After restart I could save some images properly even with save as and change of
file type in the save window

I still get occasional crashes. Now the backtrace works (after newest updates).

This I got when batch resized images from png to compressed jpeg. Batch went ok
to 100% and when I closed the small window telling that it crashed.

Here i cannot reproduce the problem with digiKam 1.0.0-beta1 and Exiv2
0.18.1... Please update and try again...
