Summary: Crash on start with audio problem Product: digikam Version: unspecified Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: crash Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: [hidden email] ReportedBy: [hidden email] Version: 0.10 (using KDE 4.2.0) OS: Linux Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Suddenly after showing a new album digiKam crashed with the following message. The same message shows up each time I try to restart digiKam. Can't get the program working again: The application digiKam (digikam) crashed and caused the signal 11 (SIGSEGV). This backtrace appears to be of no use. This is probably because your packages are built in a way which prevents creation of proper backtraces, or the stack frame was seriously corrupted in the crash. --- Comment #2 from Mathias Lindner <mathias lindner web de> 2009-03-24 17:44:54 --- Thanks for pointing me to this. Looks indeed very similar. I will observe this further. Today after restarting the system it works fine again. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #3 from Mathias Lindner <mathias lindner web de> 2009-03-24 17:53:14 --- Yes, shutting digiKam down and trying to start it again brings the same error. [hidden email] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[hidden email] Resolution|DUPLICATE |FIXED Version Fixed In| |5.4.0 Component|general |Preview --- Comment #5 from [hidden email] --- digiKam 5.4.0 bundles will use QtAV framework instead Qt5Multimedia to thumb and play video/audio. The Slideshow tool will also support video as well. QtAV use ffmpeg codecs. It's multi-platform and will always available in OSX, Windows and Linux bundles that digiKam team provide. For Linux packagers, you will need to turn on video support at compilation time and solve QtAV dependencies...
