Only with a full crash-report which includes all debug symbols something can be done. Achim also provides packages for 0.9.3 at http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~ach/kubuntu/gutsy/ including a digikam with debug info. Maybe you could try those and and try to reproduce the problem?
