[Bug 160925] New: digiKam crash, I don't know why, but I have the bugreport

Bugzilla from alexandreracine@gmail.com

http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160925
Summary: digiKam crash, I don't know why, but I have the
                    bugreport
           Product: digikam
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: unspecified
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: crash
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
        AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org
        ReportedBy: alexandreracine gmail com

Version:           0.9.2-final (using 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3.3)
Compiler:          Target: x86_64-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22-14-generic

I just made a lot of operations like moving files around, deleting some, renaming some and while browsing a picture digikam crashed.

Can't really reproduce since looking at the same picture works pretty well now. Memory leak?
Anyway, here is the bug report:

But this just happened once, after I started digikam again and doing the same things just worked...

In a couple of days I'll update Ubuntu to 8.04, and I think it is the 9.3 version.

Hi Alexandre,

such one-off crashes are hard to track down. Only
with a full crash-report which includes all debug symbols something can
be done. Achim also provides packages for 0.9.3 at
http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~ach/kubuntu/gutsy/
including a digikam with debug info.
Maybe you could try those and and try to reproduce the problem?

Thanks a lot in advance,

Arnd
