A picture taken at 19:22:25 (HH:MM:SS) will get the filename 20:22:25. I have tried changing the timezone on my camera and setting daylight saving both on and off. I even changed the timezone on my computer, but nothing helped. The only thing I could do was to use incorrect time on my camera. The EXIF information is correct, but digiKam will not use the correct time. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

The attached image was taken today (2007-08-25) at 17.21 GMT+1. The EXIF-time is correct, but if I download it with digiKam it will use 18.21 as the time. I tried to look into this myself and found that digiKam uses the modification time of the file. I do not know why my camera gives the image a modification time of 18.21, but digiKam should use the EXIF time anyway. Hope you find the time to fix this for me! Thanks for this investiguation. Using the Exif date is a possibility to study. Like your camera is a Canon one, i suspect than you use the Gphoto2 driver to download images to computer. Look into Help/Camera Info dialog for details. digiKam use the Gphoto2 to handle files from camera like a virtual folder. Date & time of files are given by Gphoto2 driver. It's possible than driver has a bug... If you can use a Flash Card reader, mount your camera memory device like an USB MAss Storage media. This on e do not use Gphoto2. If the date the right when you download, the bug is in GPhoto2 drivers, else this is a problem with your camera. Note : the code to interface Gphoto2 drivers or the UMS digiKam drivers is the same. This is why we can compare results as well. Gilles _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

When I used a USB card reader the image time was correct. I hope this bug will be corrected though. In the mean time, I will use a card reader. I recommend you to post a report in Gphoto2 bugzilla to fix the Canon Gphoto2 driver. Nothing can be done in this by digiKam...
