You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=143337 Summary: Function to export to picasaweb Product: digikam Version: 0.9.1 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: digikam-devel kde org ReportedBy: Christophe.Muller research gemplus com Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.5) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Hello, I would like to be able to export selected pictures to the Picasaweb on-line galleries in a given album, similarly to what can be done with the "KIPI Remote Flickr Export Plugin". Picasaweb is a very simple to use service and it offers a free 1GB of storing (upgrade is possible with a subscription). Today, Google announced a new web service API for this service in which it is possible to add pictures: See http://code.google.com/apis/picasaweb/gdata.html#Add_Photo (it is also possible through a call to "api/user/<name>?kind=album" to get a list of existing albums, etc.). Maybe it can be a starting point. A good news is that the new feature of storing metadata in the picture itself (EXIF or IPTC) is already working very well with picasa (comments are imported and shown, even geo tags are recognized and can be connected to a call to google earth) so it should work for picasaweb comments as well.. Actually, "importing" pictures from picasaweb would be nice as well :-). PS: 0.9 is a MAJOR great version ! Thx to Gilles and the rest of the team for such a wonderful tool ! Cheers, Christophe. = Ce n'est pas une image juste, c'est juste une image. --Jean-Luc Godard = _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

I have searched into the _digikam_ bug database but not the _kipiplugins_ one! Silly me! So it seems that mine is actually a duplicate of this one: Bug#134039 ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=134039 ). Sorry about that. I could add my comments to it (with links to the APIs) is necessary..(?). _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

Please tag this file like duplicate and comments at the right place. Actually, Colin Guthrie work on a new plugin witch will group all web export functionalities. Into svn, the plugin is at "kipi-plugins/sync". It's under development... Colin, if you have fresh remarks about it, please let's us hear... Things have been hectic for me at work recently (sold a company - starting a new one!) but things are beginning to settle now and hopefully I'll have more time shortly (after I've moved house!!!). Gotta keep busy!! :p *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 134039 *** _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
