This is a excelent news.

Achim, can you confirm if this library can be used in opens-source world and if it fully compatible with Debian rules ?

Thanks in advance

Gilles

Andreas,

If the Adobe toolkit can be used as well with open source softwares, why not using it with Exiv2 to support XMP metadata.

Exiv2 XMP support is planed since a long time. Using this toolkit will simplify the life of developer. We can provide an homogenous interface to access on metadata thrue Exiv2, including XMP... About digiKam, i prefer this way instead to add a direct link to XMP toolkit.

What do you think about ?

Gilles

If it makes things easier, why not. I have never looked at the toolkit
though and have no idea how it would fit into the Exiv2 architecture.
I'll evaluate it too before I start the implementation.

Andreas
