If the Adobe toolkit can be used as well with open source softwares, why not using it with Exiv2 to support XMP metadata. Exiv2 XMP support is planed since a long time. Using this toolkit will simplify the life of developer. We can provide an homogenous interface to access on metadata thrue Exiv2, including XMP... About digiKam, i prefer this way instead to add a direct link to XMP toolkit. What do you think about ? If it makes things easier, why not. I have never looked at the toolkit
though and have no idea how it would fit into the Exiv2 architecture. I'll evaluate it too before I start the implementation.
