view -> image sorting order

Hi, there ...

I can't find a way to get digikam (1.0.0, running on ubuntu 9.10, with GNOME) to
*remember* that I'd like it to sort my images in the "descending" order.

I'm sorry if there is an obvious way to do this. I just didn't find it.

It's under VIEW--IMAGE SORTING ORDER.  Above that are the menu choices for what you want to sort on.

Thank you. Let me repeat my question : I'd like to get Digikam to REMEMBER that
*last time* I came I *used* (as mentionned) "view -> image sorting order ->
descending". Is there a way to do this ?

You can go to HOME>KDE>SHARE>CONFIG>digikamrc and open it in an editor.  I used Kate since I'm on Kubuntu.  Change the line "Image Sorting=0" to "Image Sorting=1" and save it.  Save an unchanged copy of the file just in case something bad happens.

This seemed to work OK for me but I didn't test it very extensively.
