I rarely view my pictures by date, but have recently noticed that last
November digikam stopped grouping my photos by the date they were taken. I have verified that the time stamp still exists in all of the pictures, and I have even re-synced all of my pictures with the database. I am currently running 0.9.1, which I switched to several months ago (I don't think that it was back as far as last November though). Anyway, has anyone else noticed this issue? Any ideas on how to test and see what is wrong? All of those folders between November 06 and July 07 are completely empty. I have checked the pictures taken in this time frame and they all have the correct date information stored, so I'm not quite sure why this isn't working. As well what is the Album date for one of those empty albums? while in album view you can edit the album properties and locate the Album date. Try resetting one of these album dates and see what happens. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I didn't do an exhaustive search - more of a quick scan. In date view, it doesn't seem possible to edit any properties of the albums in question. When I right click on the album there isn't a menu that shows up. If I go into the albums view, then I can no longer locate these date specific albums. Maybe you could give me a little more guidance on how to reset one of these album dates? Well I would assume that you can visually browse the Albums view and try to locate one of these folders since Albums view is sorted alphabetically. If that doesn't work then something else I would suspect is wrong. Try searching for that folder name. I *think* that your pictures folder is located in your Home folder? Are there weird permissions set on that folder? Hubert _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Also, I upgraded to 0.9.2 and also tried 0.8 and neither are viewing these pictures by their dates correctly. I have checked the permissions and they are all set to myusername.myusername and 755. "Well I would assume that you can visually browse the Albums view and try to locate one of these folders since Albums view is sorted alphabetically." I am not quite sure which folder you want me to find. All of the date folders can only be viewed while in the view by date mode. I have tried this in versions 0.8.2, 0.9.1 and 0.9.2 and the problem is consistent throughout.
