trouble with invisible images

Michel Le Cocq
Hi, it's my first message here, so hello ! :-)

I've some trouble with my digikam installation.

I use a mysql DB and Digikam 4:2.5.0-1ubuntu2 on Ubuntu.

Digikam crash during my last photos import (maybe not Digikam but
somethin else...), then I relaunch the transfert.

I know all the photos are on the filesysteme ! and on the BDD ! but I
can't see some of them in the digikam interface !

I try to reimport them on an other folder... to remove intems in the
database, but nothing ...

I try to import for exemple 50 picture, but I always see only the 25
first one.

Thanks.

There has been several issues in the past, that you might find in searching the list archives.
But, first question is: what is you Digikam version? If you're running something older than 2.9.0, you'd better upgrade, then try the maintenance tools.

Re: trouble with invisible images

Michel Le Cocq
I just upgrade to Ubuntu 12.10 with Digikam 2.8.
2.9 is not in ubuntu.
3.0 beta seem to arrive soon.

With 2.8 I've almost the same trouble but now also on other directories...

I've just created 2 new DB and start a full new DB creation.

I would really prefer keeping the old one but it seems really buggy.
