digikam 7.2 takes takes longer to scan for photos on appimage than flatpak

Hi

I have digikam installed for both flatpak and appimage using version 7.2

I am running Xubuntu 20.10

I have 7700 photos in my photo library

The flatpak version scans for new photos and takes less than 1 second to complete.

The appimage version taken approx 20 to 30 seconds to scan for new photos. It stays on 97% for most of that time. On completion, it reports that "process is done, duration 00:00:02" so completed in 2 seconds.

It is like this each time its run, even if there are no new photos.
