tag operation from script

Mike Turchenkov
Hello, thanks for such a good software!

Question: is it possible to manipulate tag (digikam tag, not XMP or ITPC) data
from script? I have to make a lot of tags (~500) for existing images (~10000),
and it is a bad idea to manage them manually.

May be I have to "hack" the inner database structure? What is the right tool for
this?

Thanks a lot in advance.

One way is to write the tags to XMP using exiv2 and then have digikam
import them, unless you really want to not have any tags in the image.
