Has anyone else with a canon 20d (or perhaps any other camera) noticed that
while downloading pictures is fast (on highspeed usb), deleting the pictures is _very_ slow? It's much, much faster to just leave the pictures, unplug the camera, and delete them all via the camera controls. I'm assuming the problem isn't my camera, but I wanted to verify that other people see this problem. Thanks. -Aaron _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Here, i'm using Dynax 5D via USB2 and USB Mass Storage. Deleting item is very fast using camera interface. But witch digikam release you using ? Have any errors/warnings messages from kernel log when you process items deletion ? I'd swear something about the 20D is either in the bug system or was on this list recently - mostly that gphoto2 has two different drivers, one experimental and one not, simply due to bugs in the 20D handling of PTP. Something about having to reset flags and so on. _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I'm using 0.8.0 from debian. There are no errors anywhere that I can see. It takes about 8 seconds per photo to delete, btw. -Aaron _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
