When I edit a photo, I hit the space bar to trigger the "save changes" dialog,
and after I confirm, there is a short time to wait while the file is saved and
then until the next photo loads. It seems like the application can pre-load the
next photo, making it ready to display before you even get to confirm that you
want to save/write the first file. And after the next file is displayed, then
save/write the previous file.
