search problem on ubuntu

Michael Salcher
Hi

I'm using Ubuntu Breezy and the Ubuntu digiKam 0.8.1 package from
http://www.mpe.mpg.de/~ach/kubuntu/breezy. The problem that I'm having
is that the search function in digiKam never returns any results at all.
I did some research on the web and read something about a read-only
issue. The album folder was read-write anyway, but just to make sure I
changed its mode to 777. But that didn't help either.
Does anyone have the same problems or is anyone using digiKam on Ubuntu
with the search function working?
Any suggestions?

thanks
Michael

I fixed it in svn.

I'm having the same issue on Gentoo :(.  I'm sure it worked on 0.8.

Anyway, if it's fixed in svn, that's great.
