i

because NX don't care about digikam metadata.

What is "Xmp.MicrosoftPhoto_1_.Rating" tag ??? I know that M$ has rating but not with this name. Can you send me a file by private mail where NX (not digiKam) has set rating value to test ? Can you try with Exiftool please, to check how it manage this Xmp tag. I cannot see it in ExifTool database. The name 'MicrosoftPhoto_1_' is really strange. I cannot see any entry in google about. Which NX version you use exactly ? i use NX 2

digiKam 0.11.0 code is fixed in svn with rev. #940319. New M$ XMP rating tag wrapper is implemented.
This is not in 0.10.0 source code (tarballs alreday done.
