raw files aren't properly rotated?

When viewing Canon RAW files (.CR2) in digikam's main view the
thumbnails are rotated properly; however, if I double click the image
(or right click->View) then the full res images are not properly
rotated (same if I view a slideshow). Even stranger, if I right
click->Edit, the full res image now displays properly rotated.

This makes digiKam pretty much useless when trying to view a slideshow
of a folder with Canon RAW files. The only similar bug I could find in
KBO is:
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147311
which only seems to pertain to the Light Table but could certainly be related.

I was wondering if anyone else has this problem (or if perhaps I have
something misconfigured in my settings). I'm hoping that there is just
some setting I haven't found that fixes this :)

Hi,

I can confirm the problem - same situation here, also with .CR2 files. I
am not aware of any option to set in order to change this behaviour.
This wasn't there before, it just came with one of the recent updates
(running Debian).

$ digikam -v  
Qt: 3.3.7
KDE: 3.5.7
digiKam: 0.9.2-final
$ uname -a
Linux pappa 2.6.22-1-686 #1 SMP Mon Jul 23 13:23:02 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux
