preserve tags during RAW convert

Hello, what is the right way to save the source file (*.CR2) tags to
the destination *.png, *.jpg, *.tiff) file during RAW Convert?
Google says that it should work with *.png, but in my case it does not.

Has anybody managed to make it preserve the tags from *.CR2?
Now it seems that original *.CR2 has IPTC tags (encoding broken but
anyway), XMP tags (written in separate file), and of course digikam's
tag, but converter does not use any of them, even for *.png, which is
considered as "supported" format.
