Below the original in french
Hello, I just tested with the 1.2 digiKam version (the 1.5 is not working on openSUSE 11.3) the piwigo plugin it works. however this version is very limited and without any documentation (AFAIK), so I tried to make some here (http://dodin.org/wiki/index.php?n=Photo.AdministrationdePiwigo#toc16, work in progress, in french). Basically, if I understood well, the images are loaded in an "upload" tree (in piwigo root), in folders wich name is mage from the upload date. the name is no more related to the photo name (very bad, difficult to find the original one afterward), and the target category name have to exist before the upload. The plugin only create the thumbnail and upload a reduced image, but no HD image and I don't see how add one. that is the minimum. is that last version the same?
Hi, jdd!
I'm running Digikam 1.2.0 under Ubuntu 10.04LTS. Could suppose you to use pLoader as its functionality is better than one of Digikam Piwigo kipi Plugin. Yep, you are correct. I've also tried Piwigo kipi Plugin but it's too poor and finally I decided to stay on pLoader untill the better kipi version will be available. Best regards, Yuri. 2010/11/13 jdd <[hidden email]> Below the original in french _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I use openSUSE and couldn't (yet) make ploader works. I use ftp (in fact dilphin/fish) to upload the images, but the ftp way seems to be depreciated by the piwigo team nobody using dingiKam 1.5? jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://pizzanetti.fr _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Hello,
I also use Digikam 1.2 and Piwigo It's true that you have to create first a category or repertory in Piwigo But it is possible to upload the original size of the image, just uncheck "redimensionner les photos avant de les envoyer" You'll have a thumbnail AND the image in original size I have also the exif datas and the name of the file well loaded and visible Le 13 novembre 2010 12:53, jdd <[hidden email]> a écrit : Below the original in french -- Sylvain _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

In fact it looks like it's the same size pixel wise, but recompressed (half the size) this image is 7.2Mb in digiKam and 4.6 after upload. http://dodin.org/piwigo/picture.php?/45878/category/1493 > > I have also the exif datas and the name of the file well loaded and visible on the gallery, yes, but no more on the file name. It's a problem is you have to manage your photo collection on the server (for example, I had some difficulty finding the image to check the size with the same tools as for original) jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://pizzanetti.fr _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
