pictures hidden ?

hi ,

I'm using DK 5.6.0 on windows and I found an album with some pictures
missing.

The album on the left side is showing 10 pictures, but I only see 3, no
filter actuve  and when I go in the explorer, I can see the 10 pictures.

what's wrong ? any suggestion to recover those pictures/thumbnails ?

I tried the "rebuild thumbnails" in the maintenance tools but without
success

Another possiblilty is grouping enabled. which shows up as a small icon with a
number in it next to the name (the number is the number of extra files in the
group)

versioning in the editor is effectively activated, but in the "version"
menu on the right, I don't see the missing pictures
is it the versioning you were talking about ?

I don't have groups in this album

probably, I don't use it myself, but see often complain about missing
files related. Can you uncheck it just to see if it's him?

you got it !

but as a consequence, I don't have the possibility to record a modified
picture as a new version. Just a save as

but once saved, seems I still see the original in the "version" menu on
the right side.

so 2 questions

- what is the purpose of versioning

- do we have a date to get a fix ? is there already a ticket or do you
want me to create one?

The relevant setting is most likely not disabling versioning
alltogether, but the two options at the bottom of the Verisoning tab in
the image editor setting: Always show original images/intermediate
snapshots.
