Hi,
another small thing: I use kuickshow for various tasks, and I could always select one or more images in album view and then right-click and "open with... -> kuickshow". Kuickshow still appears in the context menu (dk 5.3.0), but clicking it does just nothing. The other entries (gimp etc. work). Kuickshow works in all other surroundings (from dolphin, from command line, from desktop...). What can I do to start it successfully from digikam, too? (Please do not rant about my use of a very old program like kuickshow; for me it is the perfect one for some work I often do and there is nothing that comes close to it for my personal purposes and likes) Daniel -- Daniel Bauer photographer Basel Barcelona http://www.daniel-bauer.com |
Probably the link to the desktop service is broken. digiKam do not know the application available. It ask to the desktop which return a list of services. DigiKam call it, apssing the url of the images. So it's delegate to the desktop. Check your services configuration (in KDE look in control panel) Gilles Caulier 2017-02-25 15:45 GMT+01:00 Daniel Bauer <[hidden email]>: Hi, |

In my distribution, kuickshow is no longer available. Can you post the start
command line from the kuickshow desktop service file (right-click properties on the icon)? Maik On Samstag, 25. With this commit, the problem should be fixed with the launch of kuickshow.

...or more simpler way, is to use my daily AppImage Linux Bundle with current implementation (next 5.5.0) AppImage permit to run digiKam WITHOUT install it. This can be used in parallel than installed version from RPM. AppImage do not install something in your computer. All is loaded in memory through Fuse file system. Last AppImage for Linux is here : I will update this evening the bundle with last Maik commit. Look well, the modification date of the files are available in GDrive directory as properties. I don't want to add the date to the file name. It's the same script used to build official release and the pre-version. In official release we don't include the date in file name Gilles Caulier 2017-02-27 11:42 GMT+01:00 jdd <[hidden email]>: Le 27/02/2017 à 11:34, Gilles Caulier a écrit : |
