missing plugins

famille chaume

Hi All

When opening the import tool, I'm getting the following error (but import is working without any other problem)

"no plugins were loaded, please check if the lugins were installed in one of the following paths:

system path: C:/Program File/digikam\plugins

local path: C:/Users/frederic/AppData/Local/.marble/plugins

Also check if the plugin is compiled against the right version of Marble

Analyzing the debug messages inside a debugger might give more insight"

I have checked , the plugins directory exist in digikam, but the system path seems strange C:/Program File/digikam\plugins (\ instead of / ??)

and there is just a "data" directory in the local path (.marble)

Is it normal?

any suggesion ?

thanks

Hi,

Yes, this bug was reported few month ago, and fixed in current pre-release 5.8.0 bundle. You can try the file to download here :

Typically, Marble have been updated for 5.7.0, and plugins path has changed. Marble is the map widget used inside digiKam. All bundle files needs to be changed and it's done with next 5.8.0.

Hi

thanks for your reply

I have installed digiKam-5.8.0-20171227T203904-Win64.exe on my PC, but it hangs up when looking for new elements at start-up. blocked at 1%

is it normal ? (I guess no:-) )

regards

frederic

Of course no...

Install debugview to get debug backtrace while scanning as described here :
