missing interface icons

Michal-50
Hello,

I've just updated my digikam to 0.10.0 (KDE 4.2.4) on FreeBSD 7.2 and
the problem is that all interface icons are missing. No tabs on left or
right are displayed, no icons in menus - just plain text and some
buttons. I get images thumbnails tho.

I guess it's a problem with my system (e.g. missing dependencies) rather
than digikam itself. Any ideas how to get it fixed or what can be the
culprit?

Thank you in advance. Michal

Here is an example screenshot that I've uploaded

Is this your normal GUI style? If not, this is incompability in styles between
Qt, KDE-libs and digiKam. More probably between first two. digiKam uses bare
Qt style and cannot find KDE components.

I should have mentioned that in fact I'm not really running KDE.
All its components required by other software (like digikam) are
installed on my system but instead of KDE I am using wmii window
manager. It works well with digikam 0.9.5 and pretty much everything
else that I need - and that doesn't use KDE4..

That shouldn't matter. What about other KDE4 apps?

So far Digikam is my only KDE4 application. I've just installed
eqonomize-kde4 for test and it turns out that there is exactly the same
problem. I've also noticed that all KDE4 components are installed in non
standard path (to avoid conflicts with KDE3).
My KDE4 installation is not quite right then. I'll try on FreeBSD
related lists.

Thanks for your time.

You probably have to set proper paths to digiKam before start. Google for
kdebashrc for idea. This script is linux/bash centric but you should get idea.
