leica m8 thumbnails--progress since February 2007?

i am a new digikam user.  i previuosly used gthumb
which was fine for me, except it did not support
DNG.  

i saw some postings about 6 months ago with regard to
m8 DNG thumbnail problems

it looks like my problem is very similar, as you
can see from this screenshot of my images:

the DNG thumbnails are streaked and garbled
the bottom 3/4 of the thumbnails.  since i was
shooting DNG+JPG, you can see every other shot
(the DNG) is garbled, though the JPGs are OK.

showFoto is able to display the DNG image, though
the DNG thumbnail in showFoto is similarly garbled.

has this DNG thumbnail problem been fixed lately?  this is the
latest digicam
i got from the Red Hat package manager
(digikam-0.9.1-1.fc5.1.i386).  

my particulars:

digicam 0.91(using KDE 3.5.5-0.2.fc5 Fedora-Core)
Using Kipi Library v 0.1.5
KExiv2 0.1.1
Exiv2 0.12.0
PNG 1.2.8

I  have M8 pictures here. Since we use dcraw 8.77 in digiKam and Showfoto, there is no problem about thumbnail. You   just need to update libkdcraw to 1.2.0 release (not yet released, but this will be done in a few days)
