images disappear when rated

Hi,
I just started using the digikam. I am able to import pictures. However, when I rank a picture (give 5 stars) it disappears from the system. I tried searching for the picture by name using the search function. That particular picture is missing. Did it get deleted? Is there anywhere a log is maintained of the files deleted by digikam. Hi Eric,
No, I do not have filters on. I installed recently and they only thing I have done is import several pictures. I am not yet familiar with all the tools of digikam. Did you have enabled Nepomuk/Baloo Synchronization of metadata in DK setup/metadata pannel ? By default these options are disabled unde KDE4, and MUST still disabled, as Baloo interface do the mess (there are a lots of bug report about Baloo). Gilles Caulier PS : with KDE5, the options still here, but if the situation do not change from Baloo team to improve this code, i will remove Baloo support definitively. I'm tired to see DK unstable because 3rd party implemented do not play on the same room... I am not sure the issue is Baloo related.
I am running DK 4.14.0 on KDE4 (openSUSE 13.2) Baloo Metadata interface NOT activated. Twice now I have had this happen
So after documenting this I had an idea; went into configure
digikam and selected (checked) "Always show original images" in
the A guess - something is borked in the database representation of

I do not have Baloo active. I also tried de-select "always show
original images". But that didn't change the behavior. The image is not delete from the disk just that it doesn't appear on the main thumbnail view and doesn't show up in the search.
