Hi, First of all, best wishes to every body here for the new year. Next, I finally succeed, however with some difficulties..., to install Digikam 0.10 with the help of Kdesvn-build script. One of my first notice is the keyword tags, seems to not be manage in the same way between 0.9.4 and 0.10 when there are tag and sub tag structure usage. For exemple, i have some images with this architecture of tag : Pays/Scotland, Pays, Ecosse (it's the way to write hierarchised keyword of 0.9.4) I wanted delete "Ecosse" Keyword, but after unchecked it (in the caption/tag tab) and applied modifications, i get the following keyword : Pays/Scotland, Pays, Scotland. Pays, Scotland is what I get if i add keywords in empty metadata, but the Pays/Scotland keyword are not delete. Is this thing normal ? And is there some way to automatise the conversion to have some a coherent keywords structure ? An other notice, is the change of metadata with the kipiplugin seems to don't be applied on wich tag are checked or not in Digikam. With the previous example, if I delete all the keywords with kipiplugins, the tag still appears checked in the caption/tag tab in Digikam. I don't know if it's normal or if it's may be a bug ? We put the simple tag in IPTC now and use a private XMP tag for storing the full path. This is better for interoperability. > > For exemple, i have some images with this architecture of tag : > > Pays/Scotland, Pays, Ecosse (it's the way to write hierarchised keyword of > 0.9.4) > > I wanted delete "Ecosse" Keyword, but after unchecked it (in the > caption/tag tab) and applied modifications, i get the following keyword : > > Pays/Scotland, Pays, Scotland. > > Pays, Scotland is what I get if i add keywords in empty metadata, but the > Pays/Scotland keyword are not delete. > > Is this thing normal ? This is a known bug and we are currently working on it. The fix will be in rc1. See http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=177887 > > An other notice, is the change of metadata with the kipiplugin seems to > don't be applied on wich tag are checked or not in Digikam. > > With the previous example, if I delete all the keywords with kipiplugins, > the tag still appears checked in the caption/tag tab in Digikam. > > I don't know if it's normal or if it's may be a bug ? Well it's normal, we regard what we have in the digikam database as determining, if you delete metadata you do not delete tags. Remember it's completely optional to write tags into the metadata. > > Thank you > > Greetings > > Nicolas _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
