I take it you are talking about the "Geolocation" tab on the right side
of digikam? That one only shows the location of images which already
have geolocation data embedded. If you want to modify the coordinates of
an image, use Tools->Geolocation->Edit coordinates (make sure you have
kipi-plugins installed).
We are working on making the Geolocation tab usable for tagging images,
and there is a wishlist bug report in case you want to subscribe to it:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=184833If you have images with coordinates and the Geolocation tab is still
grayed out, then it's a bug and please let us know!
