Hello :-)
Thanks to the packagers to making DigiKam availalble. But do you know you could make it availalble for a lot of distribution with little work using the Open Build Service? https://build.opensuse.org/ right now only DigiKam 1.9 is available from there, may be some work could be shared? thanks again jdd (not a packager at all, so forgive me is my note don't fit your needs :-) -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

If you want to get in contact with the maintainer of those beta packages you can look-out for alin on #opensuse-kde or write an email to the opensuse-kde mailinglist. But it's true that while it is possible to build packages for xyzbuntu etc. via obs there are no packages. It is even possible to let obs do automatic git checkouts and thus provide daily snapshots. At the moment 17736 packages are waiting on the different

you should also find 2.0 beta packages. If you want to get in contact with the maintainer (...) is this one : digikam-bundled-1.9.99git_20110418-1.16.i586.rpm ? I don't see any 2.0. I just know there is a licence review problem atm, because a lot of licence tags on packages are not standardized. That said I'm sure a mail to the obs admin will receive maximum consideration. I mostly sent that post because any initiative to make more easy the packager work seems valuable (I already tried some time ago to compile DigiKam myself and I know it's a lot of work). Distro version are often very old - or if you like better Digikam development is very fast :-))) and so it's difficult to follow :-) thanks you all! jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://www.youtube.com/user/jdddodinorg http://jdd.blip.tv/ _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

Thus the naming is "close to 2.0", i.e. 1.9.99. It's the same for other KDE packages, e.g. kdebase4 -4.5.95 would be some beta of KDE 4.6.
