filter exported raw

Hi All

just wondering if there is a way to filter raw files that  have been
already exported?

In the "version" side menu, I can see the exported file/version, but
what I wanted to do is to get all the Raw files not exported (or already
exported), to see what remains to do.

any sugestion ?

Perhaps because you question isn't very clear...
What do you mean by "exporting a raw file"?

Digikam only keeps track of files that are developed/edited and then saved as a
jpeg image file (or tiff, png, ...). And those are shown next to (or grouped
with) the original raw.

"Exporting" for me means saving them somewhere outside the Digikam image
collections, and there is no reason fro Digikam to track that particularly.

thanks for your reply and apologies , my question was effectively not clear.

In fact what I'm trying to find is a way to manage the raw files and the
processing that I can make on them.

when editing the raw file using the DK editor, I see several option in
the menu : export, save, save as

I think saving will use the format from the configuration , in the same
folder, but how to keep the original raw file (fot further rework)

using export helps me to move the modified file in an other collection
in DK ( in jpeg for upload to flickr for example) and keep the original
raw files in the original place.

so what I'm looking for is to identify the RAW not yet edited or changed.

unless there is another way to manage the Raw files
(hope it is more clear now :-) )

I'm  not sure whether my workflow will answer your question...

I edit my RAWs in darktable but all the files/versions are managed in Digikam.

Files produced from RAWs are in TIFF (or sometimes JPEG) format, and I group the RAW 'under' the corresponding TIFF file.

So:

 - I see only one thumbnail for all the pictures coming from the same RAW

 - I can select only edited or not-yet-edited pictures by using the file format filter in the right panel.

And of course, I can open any group when I want to see both the RAW and TIFF/JPEG files.

My own 0.02

Not yet, because all export tools still working as kipi tool which are limited to play with internal tags from digiKam. It's planed to change this behavior in the future.

But in your workflow you can tags your exported file yourself with color or pick labels. Filtering this labels is easy from may interface.

thanks All for your answers

today I'm using free version of DXO OpticsPro 11 which allow to filter files already exported , but doesn't correctly manage the export of metadata (tags, geolocation,..) that I put on the Raw file from DK (before using DXO)

that's why I was looking to something similar and automatic in DK. I will try with tags (filtering is effectively easy), thanks for advice.

I would use 'Save As' to export to jpeg and then filter the jpegs and move them to a desired folder outside of the current collection.

I also use Darktable and I'm trying to integrate into DK (that I'm
trying to learn)

I use Fuji: raw+jpg. For me: raw = color = .RAF and jpg = b&w (acros)
= .jpg

ctrl-a: selecting the all collection > right click on the image >
group > group selected by filename

It places the jpegs at the top and the raw/raf underneath.

Is there a way of reversing it? raw/raf at the top and the other
variations underneath?

I don't think I've ever seen a parameter for this.
As my pictures are edited one by one, I group them manually by drag-and-drop and have never used the automatic grouping feature.
