export to piwigo works really wonderful

Rinus
Currently I am working on my new gallery. I did a fair amount of updates
on the birds and flower categories in no time. digikam rocks!

I hope to find time to do a huge upload in the next few days.

Have a nice day,

Re: export to piwigo works really wonderful

Nice gallery!

But for a photo nerd like it would be great to be able to see more
meta data about each picture. Is it possible to export properties like
camera and lens in use and with what focal length, aperture and
exposure time for each photo? I'm not familiar with what kind of data
Piwigo supports.

Keep on digikaming and shooting great pictures!

/Philip

Indeed, those are some nice photos. I like Philip's suggestion about
meta data, I'm going to have to look into doing that.

Rinus, do you use transparency in your watermark? I've been using
color: white
opacity:  20%
background: no
which keeps it subtle but readable.

Speaking of which, is there a clever way to save the watermark
settings? DK seems to forget them each time.

Re: export to piwigo works really wonderful

Wilkins, Vern W
This is probably off topic, but if the exif data is in the image, you just need the Advanced Metadata plugin with Piwigo.  It's very simple to install.  I've used it through many revisions in my Piwigo gallery and it works well.

http://vw.homelinux.net/z

Look under shooting conditions while looking at a photo and you'll see the data.  What data is displayed is completely configurable.

Have a look at the extensions repository: http://piwigo.org/ext/ and ask some questions on the forum: http://piwigo.org/forum/ you should find everything you need.
For example, this extension: http://piwigo.org/ext/extension_view.php?eid=364

You are not the first one who brings my watermark up, so it´s clear I
have to do it different. I will certainly give your tip a try, thanks.

Thanks for the nice words, Phillip.
Metadata and gear is completely irrelevant to me, but if others see it
different I will change this in the future and try to make it visible,
that´s something to bother after the summer.
All my pictures have been taken with Pentax. I use Pentax over 30 year,
after my first Praktica startet with pentax K1000, ME, MX, Mz5n and now
K5 that I consider as one very fine maybe one of the best dslr´s ever. I
use very good lenses from Sigma and Tamron from their top models.

Thanks for the hint Marie-Noëlle. I will think about it after summer. For now all metadata is stripped of, I think it happens on rezise, not sure.

Hi Vern,
Thank you for the link. I would like to have a look at all your

Is this your cat? http://vw.homelinux.net/z/picture.php?/275/category/15
He/she looks so much alike my disappeared friend that I almost started
