digikamdatabase so versioning

Johannes Wienke-2
Hi,

I just found this line in the digikam/CMakeLists.txt:
SET_TARGET_PROPERTIES(digikamdatabase PROPERTIES VERSION 1.0.0 SOVERSION 1 )

Is it wanted that the so version is not incremented with the general
digikam version?

Regards,
Johannes

So you mean we need to change this in digikam to let the so version
follow the digikam version?

In theory, no, because digiKam is alone to use internal shared
library. This include kioslave which are recompiled/installed at the
same time. But, i'm agree with you, that something must be wrong here
with kioslave. We have a lots of report about broken digiKam
kioslaves. This can be relevant with libdigikam soname... perhaps.

Marcel, what do you think about ?

Gilles
