digikam startup message

Bugzilla from dudasg@freemail.hu
Hi,

I get hundreds of lines like this when starting digiKam:

Warning: Directory Canon has an unhandled next pointer.
Warning: Size 5352 of Exif.Canon.0x4002 exceeds 4096 bytes limit. Not decoded.

Could someone tell me what is this?
(maybe cause by .cr2 files? )

Thanks,
Gabor

This is a message form Exiv2 library with parse makernotes from Exif metadata.
Some makernote tags size do not respect the Exif limitation of 4090 bytes.
This is why Exiv2 please users by this way.

Note : i suspect than this CR2 tag is a preview image. There is a file in
Exiv2 bugzilla to fix this warning to add a new feature to extract preview
like ExifTools do.
