digikam process remaining in memory

bitzbox
- Using digiKam 1.4.0 on PCLinuxOS 2010.7 and Kubuntu 10.10(Beta)

Every time I exit digikam, the digikam process remains in memory. Naturally, I
can kill the process but this should not be happening. I tried executing digikam
from a console just to see what output I got:

---------- 8< ----------
[bitzbox@sgc ~]$ digikam
QSqlDatabasePrivate::removeDatabase: connection 'ConnectionTest' is still in
use, all queries will cease to work.
Time elapsed: 28 ms
Model: Time elapsed: 68 ms
TextureColorizer: Time elapsed: 16 ms
Time elapsed: 3 ms
Model: Time elapsed: 23 ms

^Z
[1]+  Stopped                 digikam
[bitzbox@sgc ~]$
---------- 8< ----------

After exiting digikam, I had to do a Ctrl-Z to stop the process and get back to
the command prompt.

Regards

if you try to exit digikam with ctrl-Z, it's supposed to stay in memory (you
can restart it...). To stop, use ctrl-C.

If you tried to exit digikam by closing the main window, and it doesn't
terminate, I don't know what's happening

This happens to me also regularly (= each time). Since this happens, I
never close digikam as workaround ;)
