I have noticed that most of the time when I try to delete all the pictures from
the Canon PowerShot A85 camera that a popup window with failed to delete picture occurs. Is this a problem with digikam for this type of camera or are other people experiencing this problem with other cameras? I have to use the camera to delete the pictures. -- Richard Miles Federal Way WA. Don't know if it could help you : I experienced such a problem with a broken CompactFlash card (in fact some kind of Microdrive made by Magicstore). The card was the problem, not the camera nor any card reader. Have you tried with another CF card ? Do you have any CF reader you could use to test if the problem comes more from the card or from the camera ? (Anyway, my point is that a (PCMIA or USB) card reader is definitively simpler and safer to use, and far more friendly for the camera batteries.) -- Fabrice Flore-Thébault _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

I had similar problems when running Fedora 4. Once I upgraded to Fedora 5 they disappeared. So I think it was not a digikam issue at all, in my case. This is a problem in Gphoto2 i think. I can reproduce this problem in my computer with my Dynax 5D in PTP mode. Perhaps a right access with current user to USB device link or something like that. I will investiguate. Richard, please check in B.K.O (bugzilla of KDE) if there is an entry about this subject and post your comments at this place. Mailing isn't the right place to store problems history. If there is no right entry, please make a new one.
