            Bug ID: 382179
Summary: Wishlist: Keep in Add a Face Tag mode after adding a
                    face tag
           Product: digikam
           Version: 5.7.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Faces-Management
          Assignee: [hidden email]
          Reporter: [hidden email]
  Target Milestone: ---

Current behavior:
1. Press "Add a Face Tag"
2. Draw a face region (rectangle)
3. Start typing a name in the pop up window
4. Click on the desired name in the list
5. If user wants to add one more face tag one needs to press "Add a Face Tag"
again

Suggested behavior:
Steps 1-4 are same
5. digiKam stays in "Add a Face Tag" mode until "Esc" key pressed.

It might worth to make this behavior optional via checking corresponding box in
Settings - Configure digiKam

Reason for suggesting this:
Many users might have more than one face to tag in majority of pictures.

You can add a new face using the CTRL key and the left mouse button to draw a
rectangle. Is this behavior enough?

Holy cow, shame on me! It is even better than what I asked for. I guess I gotta
go back to reading the manual... Thanks Maik!

Andrius,

The manual (handbook) needs maintainer. If you is interrested to patch it, i
can guide you, in case of something is missing somewhere...
