Bug ID: 381958 Summary: Cannot add additional collection Product: digikam Version: 5.4.0 Platform: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: setup Assignee: [hidden email] Reporter: [hidden email] Target Milestone: --- When I try to add an additional album, the window does not pop up, and Digikam freezes. Have to kill and restart. Note: after installing a fresh Ubuntu 17.04, Digikam seemed to have lost its configuration data (?!), wanted to startup with mysql rather than SQLite, and seemed to build new databases. Weird. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

[hidden email] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[hidden email] --- Comment #2 from [hidden email] --- We have never seen this dysfunctions before. Strangely, this appear under Ubuntu, the most worst Linux distribution ( it's my viewpoint and my experience). Please, try to use last 5.7.0 Linux AppImage bundle available here instead your digiKam from your system : https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0BzeiVr-byqt5Y0tIRWVWelRJenM Gilles Caulier -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

--- Comment #4 from [hidden email] --- Hi Maik, yes, all file dialogs need to be fixed. If native file dialog Qt wrapper is bugous, why to provide an option to change this behavior ? How deal other Qt applications ? VLC, Clementine, Scribus, Krita ? Gilles -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |

--- Comment #5 from tpg <[hidden email]> --- Hi Gilles, Thanks for the work-around with 5.7.0. I've added two other collections, and so far so good. I trust it will be fixed in the end. Regards, Theo. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. |
