I used to have DigiKam 4 and just upgraded to 5.5. on Windows 10. I have all my
photos on a SD-card and when I try to add them I get a dialog saying
(translated from Swedish) It was not possible to add a collection at the
following search path:
D:\Photos

This error occurs both if I chose local or removable media.

Got the same problem

on mac os 10.11.6, digikam 5.5.0
( Build date: Mar 13 2017 (target: debugfull)
Rev.: 328fe567bb4820b319697ab24e5ae3107f2b4ff9 - Using:
KDE Frameworks 5.29.0
Qt 5.6.2 (built against 5.6.2)
The cocoa windowing system

I happily used this new version for a couple weeks after unsuccessfully trying previous version on mac os.   Now I am back to no digikam again :-(

As Robert, I get the same error trying to add collections from sd card, internal hd, external usb disk, etc.

After trying a couple times digikam hangs and I need to kill it.
