            Bug ID: 376766
Summary: Face detection is using all CPU cores regardless of
                    the checked option
           Product: digikam
           Version: 5.4.0
          Platform: Appimage
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Faces-Engine
          Assignee: [hidden email]
          Reporter: [hidden email]
  Target Milestone: ---

The Face detection is using all CPU cores whether I checked the option "work on
all processor cores (experimental)" or not.

I tried both the system package from openSUSE Tumbleweed and the AppImage.

It seems that digiKam uses all CPU cores only by using the options "Scan again
and merge results" and "Detect faces" (or "Detect and recognize faces").

By using "Skip images already scanned" it uses only one core.
