I'm on mavericks, MBP 7.1
Never managed to get it started without hanging :
- at "loading cameras" if double-clicked on application ;
- or "ICC profiles" after sudo open in terminal (but last try it hanged at
"loading cameras" also with sudo).
macports installation failed.
build from source failed (QT5-KF5 is not fully supported in macports).
macports were cleaned (uninstall installed + deletion of all macports related
files as explained in macports doc) before reinstalling from pkg

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open application
Actual Results:
digikam startup window appears, first launch with a dialog asking for
collection location, then carries on until "loading camera" (if double-click on
app) or "ICC profiles" (if sudo open).
Expected Results:
startup finishes and digikam is ready for use
