When I click and hold the up or down chevron, the little ^ arrow, the value
should keep increasing or decreasing as long as I hold it. It doesn't, it only
goes +1 or -1 regardless of how long I hold it. This would not be a problem if
I could manually type a number, but I can't. I'm pretty sure in digikam4 one
could click on the value to edit it as text, but in digikam5 I can't.

Check mouse wheel or shift key + mouse wheel and  shift key + left mouse button
over the slider.
