Bug ID: 338171 Summary: When automatic recognition guesses the same name for multiple faces in one picture, assigning a different name deletes all the face boxes except one Product: digikam Version: 4.2.0 Platform: Other OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: Face Management Assignee: [hidden email] Reporter: [hidden email] Situation: Photo, on which the automatic face tool has found multiple faces and has guessed the same name for several (e.g. "Tom"). Say that the people on the photo are actual, Tom and Robert and I want to fix the name for Robert. Steps: Click on Robert's face tag and change it from Tom to Robert. Confirm. Expected result: No change to the other face tag. Actual result: The other face tag disappears completely and it is not possible to show it again / click on it. As if assigning the name "Robert" to the one face tag at the same time deletes ALL face tags of "Tom" from the picture, and not just the one face tag that I am changing. I have not tried whether this applies only to "guessed unconfirmed" face tags or also to a photo where someone tags several faces to the same tag and then corrects one of them. If the bug applies there, too, then this would cause all the unchanged face tags to disappear. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #1 from Christian <[hidden email]> --- Seems to apply especially to the "guessed unconfirmed" tags, but the behaviour does not always happen. Sometimes I can change one "guessed unconfirmed" tag to a different name and the other face tags are still "guessed unconfirmed". But sometimes this bug occurs and they totally disappear. (Note that, bug 326033 means that, for me, initially all the tags disappear from view, but this bug actually removes the unconfirmed face tags completely and they don't come back.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #3 from Christian <[hidden email]> --- Dear Gilles, I will try - need to wait for this situation to happen again (where the same name is guessed for two or more faces on the same picture). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |

--- Comment #4 from Christian <[hidden email]> --- I noticed this once with digikam 4.12.0. It doesn't happen often that Digikam guesses the same name for many faces on the same photo... but it seems that the problem still exists. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. _______________________________________________ Digikam-devel mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-devel |
