[digikam] [Bug 337271] New: Digikam not showing .ORA and .KRA (Krita) files and CONTENT

Rafael
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337271

            Bug ID: 337271
Summary: Digikam not showing .ORA and .KRA (Krita) files and
                    CONTENT
    Classification: Unclassified
           Product: digikam
           Version: 4.1.0
          Platform: openSUSE RPMs
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Preview
          Assignee: [hidden email]
          Reporter: [hidden email]

Digikam is  show .PSD, .XCF, files by default. However, .ORA and .KRA files
must be added by user to show them in albums.

Digikam show thumbnail for all those formats, however, it's not able to show
.ORA and .KRA CONTENT (that's to say, it is not able to show raster image
inside those image formats).

I don't know if it's a KDE, ffmpegthumbnailer or a Calligra related issue, but
it's a fact and no one is giving a solution. I notify that problem in other
thread (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=336785) but, maybe cause the
subject was not clear, it was closed as "Resolved - Fixed". But the problem is
NOT resolved at all.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch Digikam
2.Open an album with PSD, XCF, ORA and KRA files
3.Click on each kind of file format (to zoom in image content)

Actual Results:
You can't see real image of ORA and KRA files

Expected Results:
To see content of ORA and KRA files too

Digikam must consider ORA and KRA files by default and show their content (like
with PSD or XCF files).

As Boudewijn said there, you can only see the contents if you also install a
kimgio plugin, which is currently only in the development (git master) version
of Krita.

As Christoph said, this kind of image files from Krita are only managed through
kimgio plugin with digiKam. We don't have dedicated image loader for these
format.
