Thumbnails appear normally, images open without any problem in external
viewers. However, when a JPEG image is selected, the preview will not appear
--- just the error "Failed to load image". Same thing happens when trying to
open the editor or the slideshow.

Only affects JPEG images; GIF, PNG, TIFF, BMP all open normally.

Affects JPEG files both locally and on network shares.

3.4 repo install on new installation of PCLinuxOS.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select thumbnail in the album viewer
Actual Results:  
"Failed to load image"

Expected Results:  
Preview image is displayed.

Started it from the command line and got:

digikam(15195)/digikam (core) Digikam::PreviewLoadingTask::execute: Cannot
extract preview for  "/home/xxx/xxxx/people.jpg"
digikam(15195)/digikam (core) Digikam::EditorCore::getImg: d->image is NULL

Of course this is not reproducible here... JPEG is a very used file format...

2 possibilities :

- file rights are wrong. Try to use another JPEG viewer program.
- JPEG lib is broken on your system. Please share a test image through shared
web service, to be able to test here...

I took a look at the JPEG related packages installed, but there are a lot of
them... Any guidance as to which is most relevant? I'll try reinstalling.
