I finally found time to install digiKam 4.2.0 and test this bug.

Good news: With digiKam 4.2.0 this bug is gone! :)

(I did not test versions 4.0.0 or 4.1.0.)

Having "Color Managed View" enabled, starting tools like "Brightness / Contrast
/ Gamma" in "Image Editor" is fast again. It still takes 2 seconds, but this is
acceptable for me in "Color Managed View" on my old machine.
