It appers like digiKam waits for something, and, if this (unknown) condition ist fulfilled, it just works. Maybe there is something blocked? Access to KDE processes? Hope you'll find this annoying cause. Therefore, status should be "confirmed" rather then neglecting and saying "unconfirmed". Or? May I suggest to develop a testing szenario or test procedure. How could this be alike? Maybe we can exclude some drawbacks and misleading reasons.
