digikam 5.1.0 start-up hanging on OSX

I don't seem to be able to reply to the thread "Re: digikam 5.1.0
start-up hanging on OSX" any more. My mails are sent, but nothing crops
up in the thread as it used to. Receiving is no problem. Is there an
admin to figure out what the problem is?
