digikam 1, beta 3, shows no images anywhere

Ok, fired up the new pre-release after cmake'ing, launched from the cli, and I
get no images...anywhere. All the album folders are there and show up (and the
folder/files are there via cli), but no images, no image counts and no error
messages from the command line.

When I "Rebuild Thumbnails" I see little thumbnails being built of my images,
but in the Album view, I get nothing. I even went so far as deleting my db and
rebuilding it in another directory.

Anything I'm missing?
