Hello,
on my opnSUSE Leap 42.1, my digikam 1.4 (any of three versions) crashes at the moment I apply a tag. true also with 1.3. (Digikam 5 install brake kde...) do you have any idea of how I can fix this without digging too much, if this is already known? the tag *is* applied, so I just have to reload digikam, but it's pretty weird :-( thanks jdd _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

When I apply tags to a lot of photos, only when all writes are done, when I edit a photo, when I write it, but showfoto alone do not crash... thanks jdd _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |

It crash in Baloo engine from Plasma desktop. Baloo is the search tool from KDE. digiKam has options to synchronize database with Baloo. Baloo has a dedicated database. The crash is in Baloo not digiKam. Baloo is the most weird implementation that i see. The KDE 4.x version have been quickly unsupported by KDE team. Go immediately in Setup/Metadata and disable Baloo support (disabled by default). If it's not enabled, the problem is in you KDE installation. Go to KDE COntrol Center and disable Desktop search engine everywhere. I think to remove definitively Baloo support in digiKam. The game is over. May be some openSUSE dependency anyway digikam do not crash anymore, a big relief! thanks, your help was - as always - invaluable :-) jdd _______________________________________________ Digikam-users mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/digikam-users |
