No, that is not possible due to the way digikam works. digikam gives a
view onto the file system starting at the point you add as a Collection.
Anything that is not in the Collection will be imported. If you wish to
work on other areas of the file system then you can add other
Collections as well. These can be local, network or removable IIRC.

If you have the NAS destination folder already open, then yes, you can drag and drop from some external device to your NAS.
Probably you have to create the new destination folder, before to have it visible trough Digikam.

I do so on both Windows and Linux. It will work as long as you configured the access rights to the NAS correctly. Of course all the folders you are planning on moving the images to and from should be added to digiKam as Collections.
